Having our anniversary dinner here has summarized our one year since the launching of the blog. It’s uneasy for a food blog to keep the readers interested. We always try having a slightly distinctive approach when reviewing any place and Brass is no different. We had three orders for the appetizers and one salad, and for the main courses, we had three plates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the appetizers, we had the truffle potatoes, beef carpaccio and Raspberry Lava and goat cheese salad.
The truffle potatoes with a pinch of parmesan were sensational and probably one of the most divine truffle-infused dishes I’ve ever tried. The beef carpaccio was okay but not special I’ve tasted better in South Africa. The Raspberry Lava which is basically Brie cheese and Raspberry jam was brilliant. I’ve been always a fan of mixing sweet with savory products, both ingredients complimented each other. We loved the goat cheese salad that was great by the addition of the figs that adds a lot to the dish.   \u200b<\/p>\n\n\n

For the main course, I wanted to\u00a0have\u00a0the duck that wasn’t available so\u00a0we\u00a0had the waiter recommendations.\u00a0We\u00a0had the shrimp yellow curry, roasted beef fillet with red wine sauce and\u00a0poulet.\u00a0All three plates were very\u00a0good\u00a0but if\u00a0we\u00a0want to\u00a0give\u00a0them ranking\u00a0we\u00a0all agreed that the\u00a0poulet\u00a0was the\u00a0best\u00a0of the three.\u00a0The chicken was juicy and\u00a0just\u00a0cooked right and the combination of the flavors\u00a0just\u00a0mouthwatering.\u00a0Second,\u00a0comes\u00a0the roasted beef that really tender and the wine sauce brought life and earthy taste to the dish.\u00a0In third\u00a0comes\u00a0the shrimp yellow curry that was also\u00a0good\u00a0but not as\u00a0good\u00a0of the first two.\u00a0In general, it was an overwhelming experience and hopefully, I could\u00a0come back\u00a0real soon.\u00a0I highly recommend such a place especially for their tremendous service and welcoming approach.\u00a0\u200b
