Unsurprisingly, the reviews were less than favorable, with Rotten Tomatoes being particularly harsh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be honest, my expectations were quite low. I wasn\u2019t expecting anything on the level of Leslie Nielsen in <em>The Naked Gun<\/em> series or Peter Sellers in <em>The Pink Panther<\/em> films\u2014after all, those two were masters of physical comedy. But let\u2019s not forget the fundamental purpose of comedy: to make us laugh, even if it\u2019s through absurd and silly moments. And that\u2019s exactly what <em>Masterminds<\/em> delivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sure, this film may not appeal to fans of Chaplin, Laurel &amp; Hardy, Jacques Tati, Sellers, or Nielsen. It certainly doesn\u2019t boast the artistic depth of classic cinema. However, if a movie keeps making you laugh out loud, it deserves some credit. Sometimes, wacky, over-the-top humor is exactly what we need to escape, even for a little while, from the stresses of today and the worries of tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, if you\u2019re looking for a fun, mindless comedy to help you unwind, <em>Masterminds<\/em> is worth a watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When my friends recently suggested watching Masterminds, the first thing I did\u2014like always\u2014was check the ratings on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes.
