Rediscovering Steve Carell in Cafe Society
Am not going to ruin the movie to anyone who didn’t watch in Lebanon because pretty much majority didn’t watch. Though, there’s something you really should know about it.
Saying this I have to give my gratitude to Woody Allen on the choice of casting Mr. Carell in such role that requires comedy and drama talent on equal level. Steve Carell was for me the perfect actor for this role, he claims the character as his own. Since Foxcatcher and The Big Short Steve has been sensational in showing his talents as a dramatic actor and in cafe society he had to combine what he excelled with recently and what made his name in this industry. The movie in general was good not the same level of old Woody Allen but having talent of Steve Carell is enough to make you go and watch it especially if you like 1930s period.
